More Hot Fudge, Please

I've been using pregnancy and the heat of the summer as an excuse to sit at home all evening and eat ice cream.  And now it's starting to show on the scale and in my face.  Excellent.

NOT.

So I made myself get off the couch tonight (after the sun had gone down) and went for a 2 mile walk.  And I decided to test out jogging with my 6 month belly.  I think that I might have jogged for a total of .4 miles, but that's better than nothing, right?  And the fact that it was UPHILL jogging makes it even BETTER, right?  Right?

By the time I got home, I was sweating to death and had a few bug-friends attached to my hair and shirt.  I got in the shower before bed, blew my nose and found another bug-friend that I snorted during the walk.

6 months down... 3.5 to go!

Hi Whitney, you look great! I have been following your blog for a few weeks and have really loved reading about your experiences with running and pregnancy. I am 14.5 weeks along and still running at this point (albeit slower and lower mileage with each passing week), and am so inspired and encouraged by your posts and that you are still getting out there and moving! I just started blogging recently, too: http://www.onehappyrunner.blogspot.com. Take care and I look forward to reading more about your running and pregnancy adventures!!

Wow, I KNOW that I couldn't run while 6 mo pregs. Way to kill it.

BTW, check out my blog for a contest held by a friend for some preggers running stuff. Really good odds to win.

Love it! Something is always better than nothing and that 2 miles you walked and the .4 miles you jogged totally counts as a big something! I finally stopped expecting so much of myself and decided that I can't be freaking Kara Goucher, but I don't have to be completely sedentary either! Keep it up girl! p.s. You look fabulous!
